Oh really?

Hm. Something is not right. Everything has worked out really smoothly and that was NOT what we expected, haha! No turtles in JFK airport, no lost passport, everything is fine. Except my wisdom tooth, which is killing me. Now... bedtime! Too tired for correct english. Good night! , Elin

And I say to myself; what a wonderful world...

So, soon this day is over, and tomorrow is departure day. I am a bit nervous, I admit that. My last day in Sweden was a very pleasant one I must say, with picnic at the small lake at lunch time, and later in the evening a visit to the bigger lake. Sometimes I love Sweden so much that my heart nearly bursts. I won't explain when, I will just let the pictures do the job.

The first day of the rest of our lives!

So here we are - just finished the first year as international social work students, and packing for the first trip together. The destintion is USA, which is pretty ironic because during the whole school year we have been studying about the the power-crazy USA destroying the world. I guess we are sort of checking out the enemys field. And of course it will be reported here if it is true that Americans are fat, greedy and lacking knowledge abot pretty much everything.

The plan, well the truth is that we do not have one. We are gonna be in Washington for about one month, living in an apartment and hopefully doing some voluntary work. The last 10 days are being spent at bethesda beach, Dellaware, and the last three days in NY. As I am so not into tourist stuff, such as looking at the White house and so on, I am probably more confused than Elin what the plan really is. Well, the plane is anyway leaving tomorrow from Arlanda at 15.40, and lets hope that we will be on it. At the moment I am sitting at Elins soffa, enjoying watching her desperatly pack the last stuff, while I can relax, knowing that it is to late anyway if I have forgotten something. My passport, visa card, camera and phone is with me, and that is what matters. To be honest, I am actually lacking the usual exitment which should be there before a new adventure. The reason why is unknown, but perhaps that is a good thing. There are no expectations, I am just happy I will spend one month together with my wonderful friend Elin.
