As you see, sitting together at a parkinglot close to manhatten beach! With barbeque, beer and a nice cigarette. So the question is what is wrong? Why would the police want to come and visit us? Well, as the police said when they arrived "I do not know where to start, you guys are breaking the law in so many ways" The problems, according to them, was that we were using a machine to barbeque the meat, that is illegal, secondly one cannot drink on public places, and lastly, that parkinglot is a non-smoking area. The fee was 25 dollor for each thing, which would be 150 dollor for me and Elin. So, how do we fix this?
As both me and Elin have been travelling before, we bring out the secret weapon. Smiling to the policemen, we ask with a broken english if we can take a picture with them. A little suprised, than smiling back they say that of course we can, and thereafter ask from what country we come from. The picture is taken and me and Elin does not have to pay anything :) Being a girl and comming from Sweden can have it bright sides!
